Expanding Access to Care: Introducing the Family Service of Rhode Island Client Portal

At Family Service of Rhode Island (FSRI), we are always looking for ways to strengthen how we connect with the individuals and families we serve. Our work depends on providing timely, coordinated, and accessible care across a wide range of programs—from counseling and psychiatry to crisis response and community-based services.

That’s why we’re excited to introduce an important update to our electronic medical record (EMR) system: the launch of the Family Service of Rhode Island Client Portal.

What is the Client Portal?

The FSRI Client Portal is a secure, user-friendly platform designed to make it easier for clients to stay connected to their care. Client portals are widely used across healthcare to provide individuals with direct access to information, communication tools, and important updates related to their treatment.

With FSRI’s new portal, clients can engage with their care in a way that is more convenient, efficient, and accessible—whether they are at home or on the go.

As we roll out the Client Portal, our initial focus is on improving communication through appointment reminders. This is just the first step in a broader effort to enhance the client experience.

What’s Coming Next

Over time, we will continue to expand the portal’s features to further support clients and families. Future enhancements will include:

  • Secure form completion, reducing paperwork at appointments
  • Electronic signature collection, streamlining documentation
  • Additional tools to simplify communication and engagement
