Children’s Mobile Crisis

The Children’s Mobile Crisis (CMC) team provides 24/7 crisis intervention and support for children (ages 2-21) across the state experiencing behavioral or mental health crises.

Symptoms might include but are not limited to: 

• Aggression
• Self-injury
• Trauma
• Acute depression/anxiety
• Challenges at school
• Suicidal or homicidal thoughts/behavior
• Extreme parent/child conflict

Rhode Island youth (ages 2-21) experiencing a behavioral or mental health crisis.

When should I call CMC?:

• Youth is experiencing behaviors that place themselves or others at risk, such as expressing thoughts of self-harm or suicide.
• Youth is experiencing severe stress, acute depression, or anxiety that may put them at imminent risk of being hospitalized.

When should I call 911?:

• Youth is in need of immediate medical attention.
