Adult MHFA Training – February

MHFA is an 8-hour course, that introduces participants to the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health challenges, the training builds an understanding of the importance of early intervention and teaches individuals how to help someone in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge. Mental Health First Aid uses role-playing and simulations to demonstrate how to assess a mental health crisis; select interventions and provide initial help; and connect individuals to professional, peer, social, and self-help care.

Training Requirements:

You are required to complete a pre-training assessment 1 week before the scheduled training date. Those who have not completed the pre-training assessment before the deadline will be placed on the waitlist. Invitations to complete the assessment are sent out on a weekly basis on Friday. Once you receive the email and complete the signup process, you will be enrolled in the pre-training assessment. If you have not received your invitation within 1 week of the date of this email, please contact mhfa@familyserviceri.org.

This is a reoccurring training, every first Friday of each month – registration is required.
Registration closes 1 week before the training date.
