Familias Unidas increases parental involvement with their child’s peers and school and improves family bonding. It builds supportive relationships among Hispanic/Latinx immigrant parents to integrate them into the greater community and reduce social isolation. By providing parents with additional knowledge and tools to raise healthy children, the intervention prevents or reduces drug misuse, anti-social behavior, and risky sexual behavior.
The Providence Children and Youth Cabinet in conjunction with Providence public schools, Brown University, and FSRI collaborate to conduct these groups.

Available to families living in the City of Providence.
