Volunteers Needed for APRI's Buddy Program.

The Buddy Program at APRI is looking for a few good volunteers! Buddies provide emotional and practical support to APRI clients, helping improve their overall quality of life. Many of our clients have been living with HIV for years and still sometimes struggle with feelings of loneliness, isolation, and stigma. A Buddy can provide immeasurable support to a client. While each Buddy relationship is different, support is typically provided through activities such as home visits, phone calls, hospital visits, transportation to medical appointments, and recreational activities such as outings for coffee, movies, and more. If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering as a Buddy, please contact Dominique Torres Ramos at 401-831-5522 or torresramosdo@familyserviceri.org to learn more.
