Family Service of Rhode Island joined with Rhode Island law firm Hinckley Allen this month to announce a $5,000 Brighter Futures sponsorship that will support programming to improve wellbeing and foster safe homes for children and families in communities across Rhode Island. The sponsorship marks a continuation of FSRI’s over 20-year partnership with Hinckley Allen – one of its longest-standing organizational relationships.
Over the next year, the funding will support FSRI programs like Be Safe, which has provided more than 26,000 Rhode Islanders with PPE, cleaning supplies, and shelf-stable food since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and economic crisis started in March 2020.
“It is important for us to partner with Family Service of Rhode Island and support their commitment and mission to help communities throughout Rhode Island,” said the multiservice law firm. “This also symbolizes and aligns with our firm’s values.” Hinckley Allen’s reputation is defined by their guiding principles of career, community, professional development, quality of life, excellence, and environment; the firm’s dedication to community agency is ever apparent in their meaningful contributions.
As everyday life for Rhode Islanders has been turned upside down, and public health has become one of the state’s most pressing concerns, Hinckley Allen has adapted to our new normal by continuing to focus on their team’s quality of life. Remote work carries challenges now familiar to anyone, but Hinckley Allen has taken advantage of the compelling opportunities this shift presents and maintained the collaborative culture their clients value.
“Working together, we have found the right balance among assuring excellence in client service and legal work, supporting our health care clients, maintaining the office interactions that are so vital to nurturing our collegiality and friendships, and recognizing the health benefits of working from home,” said the firm.
Hinckley Allen also recognizes the significant emotional and spiritual Rhode Islanders have faced throughout this crisis, and in accompanying FSRI to meet the direct needs of our community, the firm is steadfast in their message of hope: “Staying positive can be difficult during these challenging times, but we need to join together, listen to our government officials, stay healthy, and support one another. We will get out of this as a stronger community!”
