Family Service of Rhode Island’s board of directors has elected the following as members:

  • Curt Beckwith, M.D., of Providence, assistant professor of medicine at Brown Medical School, Division of Infectious Diseases.
  • James Bower, of Providence, assistant to the president of San Miguel School in Providence.
  • Saul Kaplan, of Providence, director of business development for the Rhode Island Economic and Development Corporation.
  • Bradford Kopp, of Providence, group executive vice president for investment services and corporate strategy and development at Citizens Financial Group.
  • Phan Sok, M.D., of Providence, a recent Brown graduate with a master’s in public health. He was the former HIV Unit Chief at the Sihanouk Hospital Center of Hope in Phnom Penh.

Family Service of Rhode Island is one of the largest human service agencies in Rhode Island. Malcolm Farmer, III, is president of the board of directors, and Margaret Holland McDuff is chief executive officer.
