Family Service of Rhode Island CEO Margaret Holland McDuff was chosen by the Providence Business News as an influential person in the community under the age of 40.

The paper named a total of 40 similar "movers and shakers."

In an article published in the September 26-October 2, 2005 issue of the paper, it was noted that during her tenure as CEO, which began only 4 years ago, she has "opened three new locations...The agency's workforce has doubled and the annual budget has also grown by $10 million, effectively doubling."

It also noted that she began with the agency fifteen years ago as a clinical social worker and has "been involved in almost every aspect of the organization."
