the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth and Families in systems reform.
- Setting new standards
for emergency response.
- Collaborating on statewide
responses to domestic violence.
- Setting
police policy and protocols for sexual abuse response.
- Collaborating
with the faith-based community.
- Bringing needed services
to under-served areas in the state, including Washington County and Aquidneck Island.
- Working
with the U.S. Attorney, the Family Court, the Office of
Probation and Parole, and the police.
- Working
on the Governor’s Commission to provide basic needs such
as heat for families falling through the safety net.
- Leading
the Mayor’s Substance Abuse Prevention Council (Providence).
