  • Setting new standards for emergency response.

  • Collaborating on statewide responses to domestic violence.

  • Setting police policy and protocols for sexual abuse response.

  • Collaborating with the faith-based community.

  • Bringing needed services to under-served areas in the state, including Washington County and Aquidneck Island.

  • Working with the U.S. Attorney, the Family Court, the Office of Probation and Parole, and the police.

  • Working on the Governor’s Commission to provide basic needs such as heat for families falling through the safety net.

  • Leading the Mayor’s Substance Abuse Prevention Council (Providence).
