Residents
of Every Community in Rhode Island:
We serve in the range of 3,000 children and adults every year. They may live in Providence, East Providence, North Kingstown, or even on Aquidneck Island! Because much of our work is provided in the home, the location of our facilities does not impact access to most of our programs.
About a third of those we serve are Hispanic, African-American, Southeast Asian, Native American or from another minority community.
About one in five has limited or no English language skills.
The overwhelming majority of the people we serve are 18 or younger. Our client population is about half male and half female.
Most live below the poverty line, and about 90% are classified as being of low income.
