01/05/06 RI Foundation Awards Agency $75,000 The Rhode Island Foundation has awarded Family Service of Rhode Island two grants totaling $75,000.  The agency's program to aid Providence children and families who are victims or witnesses of violent crimes received $35,000.  The agency's work in North Kingstown schools was awarded $40,000. The Rhode Island Foundation, founded in 1916, is one of the nation's largest and oldest charitable organizations serving a specific geographic region.
