12/11/07 Police Recognize Agency Staff Member   Providence Mayor David Cicilline presents Citizens Award to Carla Cuellar photo: Ronald Pino Carla Cuellar, a Family Service of Rhode Island staff member working closely with the Providence Police, has received the Citizens Award from the department and Mayor David Cicilline. Ms. Cuellar is part of the Family Service of Rhode Island team working closely with the Providence Police Department to respond to the needs of families and their children in times of crisis.  For four years, Ms. Cuellar has worked hand-in-hand with front line officers as the agency's police liaison, regularly riding with officers as they do their patrols. The award was presented Friday, December 7 at the city's public safety complex.                    (end)
