04/26/10 National Grid Executive Joins Family Service of RI Board

    

Marisa A. Albanese, of North Providence, was recently named to the board of directors of Family Service of Rhode Island, a statewide human services non-profit.

Ms. Albanese is senior community relations coordinator for National Grid in Rhode Island. Previously, she was the interim executive director and community relations director for the American Red Cross Rhode Island Chapter.

Ms. Albanese has more than twenty years experience in the natural gas industry, serving in customer relations, communications, human resources and marketing capacities for Providence Gas Company and then New England Gas Company (NEGAS) before managing the company’s community relations efforts for Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She represented NEGAS on a statewide task force to address issues of low income energy customers and served as executive director for the NEGAS Community Connections Fund, an employee directed charity. She currently represents National Grid on the Grantmakers Council of Rhode Island and the Rhode Island After School Plus Alliance board.

She holds a B.A. in commercial art and English from Notre Dame College in Manchester, N.H.
