Lucy's Hearth

Lucy's Hearth is the Newport County shelter for homeless women and their children. In 2007 it became an affiliate of Family Service of Rhode Island. 

While Lucy's Hearth remains a separate non-profit organization, with its own board of directors, Family Service of Rhode Island is the sole member of the organization.  In addition, Family Service of Rhode Island provides clinical and non-clinical staff; financial, technology and human resources management; and grant-writing services. 

Family Service of Rhode Island's CEO, Margaret Holland McDuff, notes "Lucy's Hearth is a beloved organization on Aquidneck Island, and we are very pleased to work with them in partnership to improve the lives of homeless children and their families."
