02/23/06 Brighter Futures Award Chairs Announced
Family Service of Rhode Island’s annual fundraising event, the Brighter Futures Award, will be guided by executives from Citizens and the New England Gas Company.
The Brighter Futures Award is presented to those making outstanding contributions to the well-being of children in Rhode Island. The 2005 award recipient was Colonel Dean Esserman, Providence’s police chief.
New England Gas Company president and chief operating officer Thomas C. Robillard and Citizens Financial Group group executive vice president Bradford B. Kopp will guide the 2006 effort. The Brighter Futures Award luncheon will take place on Monday, November 13 at the Rhode Island Convention Center.
“Tom and Brad share a deep commitment to making life better for children and their families in Rhode Island,” said Margaret Holland McDuff, Family Service of Rhode Island’s chief executive officer. “There’s a lot of work to do between now and the event in November, and we’re fortunate to have them volunteer to make it a success.”
Family Service of Rhode Island is a non-profit organization providing a range of human and educational services across the state.
